wedsite has finally been updated!

I can't believe how fast this past year has gone. So much has happened in this past year for me. My boyfriend and I have moved into a bigger house with our 4 and 5 year olds, so needless to say life is busy :)

My december artwalk was a huge sucess and was the best show that I have done yet!!!!! It is always an artists goal to out do yourself everytime.....and that is exactly what I did.

I had a summer full of great weather and a lot of weddings. My favorite wedding that I did this summer was not only because of the beautiful setting but because the couple was such a great example of real love. I take it as a huge honor when a bride asks me to be a part of her day and I thank Jenna for letting me be a part of hers.

Yes I'm still alive

It is terrible when I look at how long it has been since I have written a blog, TERRIBLE! Well of course a lot has happened since the last time I wrote. I went to Sweden to visit family in the month of June and had a fantastic time. I have been working plenty and I had a really busy wedding season this year. I put together a show for the December artwalk and it went fantastic! It was the first time that I have ever done a whole show myself and on top of it do 5 models instead of my usual 3! The title of the show was The Enchanting Slumber Collection. To me it was things that come out of your dreams. Sometimes our dreams are really light and magical and sometimes they are dark and gritty. A way I described it to someone is that if you were to fall down the rabbit hole in alice and wonderland what would you find down there? Your imagination can just go wild! I  also just did up 5 models for the Boudoir show on Feb 10th. Boudoir is a fantastic shop in Anacortes with all the pretty night wear that us girls love to wear and that make us feel beautiful. It was really fun to glam up the gals in the show and really sex them up :)

So far 2009 has been really great both professionally and personally and I'm looking forward to what the year has in store for me!

New Shoot today
Today was a really fun day, I got to do something that I've been wanting to do for a very long time. We shot a 1940's style pin up girl pictures. I love the way the girls in those pictures always look like it is an accident that their skirt blows up. Hillary was my model and she really played the part well. We had a lot of fun with props too. Old record players, vintage phones and typewriters. I am very excited to see the pictures that Suzanne will be sending to me. I'll keep you posted when their ready to be viewed!

Real Simple Magazine Shoot

So a few weeks ago I received a call from a local author named Allison and she asked me if I could do her makeup because one of her articles was being published in Real Simple Magazine! So I arrive at the shoot (her house) She has a beautiful home and two adorable kids. It was a really fun day and the people I was working with were all so talented. I really enjoyed meeting Ben Hoffmann who is an amazing photographer and has had pictures published all over the world. It's great to be surrounded by artists. It all worked really well and the Real Simple Magazine spread of the talented writer Allison

(and the gal who did her makeup Wink)hits stands in July!
